    ASSYST is excited to announce that we have been selected to support the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Strategic Modernization Initiatives and transition from their legacy systems to modern, cloud-based versions as a recipient of a Technology Modernization Fund (TMF) award in October 2019. Over the next year, EEOC will re-architect and refactor their legacy infrastructure and develop modern applications and web portals based on open source technologies. EEOC will use its newly acquired technologies to their fullest potential - modernizing aging network infrastructure, improving digital services, enhancing information security and privacy, and migrating out-of-support legacy systems to modern cloud-based or open-source solutions. Coupled with process improvements and embracing DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile frameworks, the EEOC is increasing public access to information, delivering better analytics and reporting capabilities, and improving the customer experience and usefulness of its digital services.

    A leading global development and financial institution awarded ASSYST a contract to build an advanced analytics data solution. This platform will provide advanced analytics capabilities for data scientists, researchers, statisticians, economists and end users. The data lake will be provisioned to support large volume data sets including structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. Users will be able to perform deeper analytical operations and interact with the data in various categories. ASSYST is also building a real time interactive chat interface which will allow users to chat with the bot and get answers to queries in real time.

    ASSYST facilitated a workshop for CMS employees that builds on the SAFe® DevOps - CALMR (Culture, Automation, Lean Flow, Measurement, and Recovery) approach to DevSecOps. We provided simulated activities to engage participants in building and optimizing a DevSecOps environment. ASSYST also provided a Scrum workshop that included an interactive Scrum game. Participants deepened their knowledge of Agile and Scrum, and through hands-on activities and practice, will be able to transfer knowledge to their jobs.

     

    ASSYST is currently providing Agile Coaching services at CMS ISPG that focus on Agile processes and practices at the team level for CMS’s Cybersecurity Program. We assist teams in defining and adopting Agile best practices in development, requirements management, testing, and deployments while being a primary contributor to the development of CMS Agile policies, practices, and processes related to cybersecurity.
