    ASSYST, McLean, VA – July 2007: ASSYST to work on the Child Welfare Database System project for the State Judiciary under the direction of Foster Care Court Improvement Projects (FCCIP). ASSYST will be providing project related services that include analyzing the system functions and features, requirements gathering, external stakeholder communication and coordination, project plans and scheduling and status reporting.  ASSYST will help FCCIP develop and administer a change management process in accordance with parameters agreed to by key stakeholders and the Judiciary Information Systems (JIS) technical support resources. 

     

    ASSYST will conduct structured sessions to define and document functional and technical performance requirements in accordance with JIS guidelines, including the creation of both narrative requirements and use cases.   ASSYST will develop requirements traceability matrices (RTMs) to facilitate the creation of test plans and test cases, as well as system and user acceptance test plans and test cases.  ASSYST developed the planning phase and project life cycle activities for FCCIP and is working with FCCIP to develop the project schedule and strategic plan to present to the advisory committee.

    ASSYST, McLean, VA: ASSYST wins the contract for ERP Requirements Analysis for Replacement Systems at Maryland's Administrative Office of the Courts.  The project focuses on transforming the results of a recent workflow analysis and recommendations study into functional requirements appropriate for an integrated system solution.

     

    ASSYST is to perform initial market research and recommend potential products appropriate to the size of AOC’s operations and the scope of AOC’s needs.  ASSYST will need to develop a solution that includes both functional requirements and technical considerations to ensure compatibility with the architecture being implemented by the Judicial Information Systems department.

     

    By working with the AOC’s Procurement Department to develop an effective set of requirements and criteria ASSYST would help this customer identify major customizations, conversion, and implementation considerations including systems implementation and ongoing maintenance and support alternatives.

    ASSYST , McLean, VA – June 2007: ASSYST wins Project Management and IV&V contract from Department of Budget Management (DBM). As part of the assignment ASSYST will provide Project Management Support Services for all major IV&V activities for the State of Maryland through the Department of Budget Management.

    The State of Maryland has a regular workforce of 52,000 employees and an operating budget of $13.5 Billion and supports a population of 5.6 Million. ASSYST will support DBM in establishing their Program Management Office (PMO) for enterprise IV&V activities.  The activities include IV&V project management and coordination of multiple, concurrent IV&V TO Agreements, performing other activities that support IV&V planning and procurement, and contract administration.

    The duties ASSYST would be performing include:

    • Creating and maintaining ongoing an IV&V Master Schedule
    • Developing and maintaining ongoing an IV&V Master Risk Management plan
    • Developing an IV&V Deliverable Comments Matrix
    • Providing Quality Assurance by evaluating and giving critical comments on all IV&V deliverables
    • Obtaining comments on IV&V deliverables from staff
    • Scheduling and facilitating regular weekly IV&V status and issue discussions
    • Coordinating with IV&V Contractors to control IV&V projects

    ASSYST, McLean, VA – June 2007: ASSYST wins MPME contract from the State’s Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). The mediator excellence management system is a website design and development initiative to support various groups. The prime function of the MPME website is to provide general information about mediation resources and services, and provides separate sections for MPME members. The site will contain built-in tools to enhance the navigation. The application will allow mediators to become members by completing an online application process. Registered members will be able to login and access information for review and editing.

     

    The application will include an Online Mediator Directory, which would allow users to search for a mediator using a variety of search criteria. The application will have an Event Calendar containing information on mediation related trainings, conferences, meetings and activities. The calendar will allow members to sort events using a variety of criteria and provide links to organizations sponsoring various events. The application’s Conference management module will allow the administrator to track registration information and logistical information such as room assignments, speaker information, and food and beverage requirements. The administrative function will allow the system to generate letters, reports and labels and to send or broadcast emails.

    Montgomery College is the oldest and largest community college in Maryland, and has served both Montgomery County and the region for more than 50 years.  The College currently enrolls more than 42,000 students’ annually in credit and continuing education courses and has a staff of nearly 3,000 full-time and part-time faculty, non-teaching staff, administrators and student assistants.

     

    Some of the work that ASSYST will perform for Montgomery College includes Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Information Systems Auditing and Quality Assurance, Technology Project Management Services, Hardware and Software Security Support, and Web and Internet Design and Development.
